Belinda Skelton
Executive Producer, The Neal Boortz Show
Belinda
Skelton was the Executive Producer of the Neal Boortz Show and a frequent guest host of Lawn and Garden and The Home
Fix It Show.
Belinda's
has been a familiar voice in Atlanta radio for 20 years. In 2000, the Atlanta Business Chronicle named Belinda the second
most poplar female radio personality behind B98.5FM's Vicki Locke.
Born
and raised in the North Georgia mountain town of Blue Ridge, Belinda attended Reinhardt College and later the University of
Georgia. At UGA, Belinda double majored in Broadcasting and Interior Design, spending one semester in Cortona, Italy, studying
art. She spent another semester in Chattanooga, Tennessee completing an internship in TV news.
Upon graduation from the University of Georgia, Belinda chose a career in radio working first as a country
music disc jockey at a small AM station in Cumming. Belinda concedes she loved the job, but to this day generally loathes
country music. To amuse herself, she would talk to the request line callers on the air and soon learned that her calling was
in talk radio.
Belinda joined News/Talk 750 WSB in April of 1992 as a phone screener
for the Clark Howard Show. Her big break came when Neal Boortz's producer at the time left WSB to begin a family and Belinda
was promoted to producer/phone screener of the Boortz show.
The Neal Boortz Show
is one of the most popular radio talk shows in America with an average weekly audience of nearly six million listeners.
In 2001, Atlanta Magazine honored Belinda as a recipient of the prestigious Women Making a Mark award
for her contributions to the community.
Belinda lives in Atlanta with her husband
Clark and their two sons. Belinda's Link
